Before Heaven and Earth existed, there was only Pangu — and the egg of chaos.

For 18,000 years he grew inside it, pressing outward until the shell cracked: the light, clear yang rising to become Heaven; the heavy, dark yin settling to become Earth. As the two separated, Pangu stood between them, holding them apart with his body, growing taller with each passing millennium so they could never collapse back into one. When at last his work was complete, he lay down and dissolved — his breath became wind, his voice thunder, his eyes the sun and moon, his flesh the mountains and soil, his blood the rivers, his bones the minerals in the earth.

He did not create the world. He became it.

This is Hexagram 55 — Abundance. Thunder over Fire. The great storm illuminated from within. The moment of maximum fullness, maximum brilliance — and the wisdom to recognize that the zenith is always the prelude to transformation.
